This section describes how to define custom alerts. You can define custom alerts against any Solution Package metric. Once custom alerts are deployed they behave as built-in alerts do. That is, you can configure thresholds and duration in the Alert Administration display, they are listed in the Alert Table when they trigger, and they can also be configured to execute alert notifications.
Custom alerts can optionally be associated with a Solution Package alert category and/or CI Type which means they are included in monitor Alert Counts.
Alerts must be defined and deployed in the RTViewDataServer installation directory containing the metrics that trigger them.
